Chapter 6 Summary
Detective Alec Buchanan is hiding in a smelly dumpster in a smelly alley. It's the middle of the night and he's waiting for a deal to go down. Seven detectives are on the case, trying to bust Chicago's biggest drug dealers, twin brothers who masquerade as good-'ole-boy lawyers.
Another detective, acting as a lookout, whispers in Alec's earpiece that the twins have arrived. Barely a minute later, the same detective says there's a problem. A uniformed officer is talking to the twins, who have parked in a No Parking zone. But instead of giving them a ticket, the uniformed officer accompanies them into the warehouse. Alec and the other detective scramble to warn the undercover detective inside, but they're too late. The officer recognizes the detective and blows his cover.
