Relationships with children thrive when adults take time with them and encourage them to be children. Moreover, adults can benefit by once again looking at the world through the eyes of a child. Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle is arguably the most important character of the novel because she is the only character with a role in each chapter. Her relationship with the children is one of the novel's most important themes because it is central to some specific situation that arises in each of the chapters. This relationship is built on the fact that she always takes time to play with the children and encourages them to be themselves at her house.
