Summary

In Chapter 6, Mrs. Harris arrived at the House of Christian Dior. The taxi driver dropped her off at the austere side entrance reserved for exclusive customers instead of near the boutique that offered affordable and off the rack accessories. Mrs. Harris felt out of place and confused by the seemingly empty building. She was accustomed to stores, like Selfridges, that were bustling with people and festooned with elaborate window displays. Despite feeling out of place, Mrs. Harris made her way through the entrance and ascended the spiral staircase that was decorated with sparse and elegant shadow boxes.
