Summary
In Chapter Ten, Srinivas observes that business matters at Empire Press are more smoothly and professionally conducted than they were with Sampath, at Truth Printing Works. The new printer is himself a disinterested and dull man. Srinivas writes a successful editorial titled, “Nonsense – an adult education,” in which he argues that men and women never truly grow out of their infant nonsense.
Somu comes to visit Sampath at his new office. Somu explains that he heard Sunrise Pictures was referenced in Srinivas’s most recent journal, though he has not bothered to read it. He tells Somu to read it right there, on the spot, though Somu declines. He tells Srinivas that he has been “unkind” (177) to leave the production.
