Summary
In "Chapter 11: Six," Darashikoh drives to a party where he plans to meet a precollege boy, a customer referred by Haider. Darashikoh finds the target customer, and the boy asks if they can walk outside. They do, and Darashikoh sells hash to him at eight times the price he paid Murad. The boy’s name is Shuja Rana, and he apologizes for the fact that Darashikoh cannot stay because “some of these people are such snobs” (176).
Darashikoh drives home, where Manucci asks to get paid after two months of no compensation. Darashikoh refuses and goes to his room. Inside, he procures the heroin Murad gave him and mixes some with marijuana in a joint, which he calls an “aitch,” and then smokes it (177). A high Darashikoh enjoys the feeling that the heroin gives him that night.
