Chapter 17 and Chapter 18 Summary

In chapter seventeen, the Universe questions a large amount of missing matter. Some of that missing matter is the packaging from the mysterious package that Random opens. The black disc turns into a bird. The bird tests what volume she can hear. Suddenly, the air is all birds. The bird realizes it is too overwhelming for Random and stops the allusion. Random asks what the bird is. It says it is the Guide. It is known as WSOGMM or the Whole Sort of General Mish Mash. The Bird makes a huge, three dimensional image of Arthur in the sky. Two miles away, Arthur sees the image. He heads off toward it.
