Part 2, Salamandastron: Chapters 32-45 Summary
In Chapter 32, the Corim gather to celebrate the return of the hedgehogs and to welcome Gingivere to their fold. At the same time, they discuss what they might do next. An idea is brought up about the secret entrance into Kotir. They have discovered through this entrance that the fortress is built in what was once a lake, but it went dry when River Moss changed direction. They propose digging tunnels to reflood this lake, thus bringing Kotir down. At the same time, Martin and his friends find themselves walking in sand dunes that are far from anything they have ever known before. They soon find themselves at the ocean, walking on the beach.
