Chatpers 46 through 50 Summary
Miles and Harper are discussing what to do about the message from Berkmann and Miles suggests that Harper talk to him, at least for a few minutes. Their idea is that if Berkmann is making no typographical errors, it means he's working from his home base - which Miles believes to be in New York. That would mean Drewe and Harper were safe for the moment. Berkmann's first words to Harper are, "How did you like my little film?" Harper says that the FBI liked it and Berkmann calls Harper "a little ankle biter," believing that Harper would not have shown the film because of the personal aspect. There are no typos in the first pages and Miles believes that Berkmann is in New York. That will soon prove to be false.
