Point of View

More Than You’ll Ever Know is a multi-point-of-view, dual-timeline novel. Three distinct points of view are used: Cassie in 2017, Lore in 2017 and Now, and Lore in 1983-1986. The novel is divided into three parts. Part I is Cassie’s first-person narrative alternating with Lore in the 1980s, which is in third person. In Part II, Lore’s first-person narrative in 2017 is introduced.

Cassie narration comes from a young woman who is obsessed with true crime. Cassie’s lens sees the world in context of true crime. This is a bit of consternation in Cassie’s relationship with Duke, who does not share Cassie’s true crime interest. In contrast to Cassie, Lore does not share an interest in true crime, but is rather part of a true crime story.
