Summary

In Chapter 6, "Lore, 1983," Lore returns to Laredo from Mexico City and reunites with Fabian and the twins. Lore remembers when the twins were born and how Lore and Fabian had trouble telling them apart in the beginning. The family has dinner and Fabian talks about business. Fabian asks about the wedding and Lore is evasive, explaining she left the wedding early. After dinner, Fabian makes a pass at Lore. They have sex and Lore thinks of Andres. The next morning, Lore continues to think about Andres. At work, Lore talks to Oscar and is interrupted by a phone call from Andres.
