Important Role of Memories
Memories range from beautiful to painful, but each has a role in the life of the individual, the family, and the larger social circle. Aaron Soto believes that he has memories too painful to bear and that eliminating some of those memories would change his life for the better. What he eventually learns is that even painful memories serve a purpose and that having no new memories is infinitely worse.
Aaron began to question his sexuality at a young age. His mother Elsie is accepting when he tells her he is gay and that he loves a boy named Collin. His father Mark is furious.
