Branlow Hall
Branlow Hall is the hotel owned by the Treherne family. It is a major setting in Susan’s portion of the novel. She stays at this hotel when she investigates the murder of Frank, which took place eight years earlier in Room 12 of the hotel and tries to find out what happened to Cecily. Susan is almost killed just outside the hotel when Martin lures Susan outside and then pushes a concrete owl from the parapet of the hotel. Later, Susan announces to the members of the Treherne family, and Locke, that it was Aiden who killed both Frank and Cecily.
