Susan Ryeland

Susan Ryeland is the narrator for the Moonflower Murder portions of this novel. She is the dynamic character in this novel as she comes to appreciate her life with her boyfriend and business partner in Greece after she briefly returns to England to investigate a murder. Before Susan moved to Greece with Andreas, she ran her own publishing company and worked as an editor. Her publishing company was destroyed when one of her writers, Alan, was murdered. She has still not healed from the loss of her independence and her career. She has decided she is not happy with Andreas and wants a chance to see if she can revive her career in England.

Lawrence and Pauline give Susan the chance she wants to go back to England when they ask her if she will try to determine what Cecily might have read in Alan’s book...
