Summary

In “Nine: Scene of the Crime,” when Pünd, Hare, and Cain arrived at Clarence Keep, Cain was unusually enthusiastic about how pretty the house was. They met Leonard as he left. He said he had just given Francis a tranquilizer because he had no slept since Melissa’s death. Inside the house, they noticed the movie memorabilia, including a Turkish dagger, displayed on a table in the hallway. Cain commented on a Wizard of Oz movie poster signed by Bert Lahr. Pünd noted more movie posters in the home as well as a cigarette box from MGM.

Pünd and Hare were able to get little information out of Francis because of the tranquilizer. In Melissa’s bedroom, Cain began to feel faint and knocked a pile of letters...
