Summary

In Chapter Thirty-Eight, Mari went back to her burrow and told Nik he had to leave so that she could bring Danita back to the burrow. She blindfolded him and walked him away from her burrow. He taught her how to call down the power of the sun, and then they said goodbye. He kissed her wrist and walked away, promising her that they would meet again.
