Annie and Graham's House
Annie and Graham's house is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The couple buys the home not long after their marriage. Though the house is neither large nor elegant, Sarah has always thought of it as beautiful. It is filled with books, trinkets, photographs, and mementos of her parents' early life together.
The house is also the place where Annie and Graham host innumerable parties for their friends and family. The space is constantly filled with music, dancing, and laughter. After Graham's death, however, the space feels changed, saturated with memories of Graham. By the end of the novel, however, the characters rediscover their love for the space.
