Summary
In “October,” Claudia noted that there were many red flags about the situation of Monday’s disappearance. She claimed that if Monday were a color, she would be red. In “The Before,” Monday still had not shown up for school by October. Shayla, a girl in Claudia’s class, mocked Claudia for being lonely without her girlfriend Monday and for taking so long to finish her work in English class.
