Summary

In Chapter 106, Ben reaches his target, a Boy Scout service where the President is speaking. Ben yells out that the Russians are blackmailing the President ant that the people deserve to know. Although Ben knows his life is over, he hopes the press that are there will investigate and bring the information to light.

In Chapter 107, Ben is waiting his fate in an interview room. He thinks of what he has accomplished in trade for his freedom. The twenty million dollars that he received from Kutuzov for not releasing the tape was not wired into Ben’s personal account. Instead, it was deposited into an account for the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. He also believes he has stopped the Russians from controlling foreign policy.
