Summary

In Chapter 78, Ben meets Eddie in the parking garage of his law office. Eddie won’t give him any money directly, but drops some for him to pick up. He tells Ben he’s worked out a deal with the justice department to say that the Capital Beat is only down for repair and maintenance. After hearing what Ben has learned in the last few days, Eddie asks Ben why the government is still scared of him. Ben seems to know why this is, but doesn’t tell Eddie.

In Chapter 79, Ben learns that Russia is already working its plans to take over Georgia as he reads a newspaper article stating that the leader of Russia had narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. The Russians are blaming the attempt on the Republic of Georgia.
