Chapters 13 & 14 Summary

Two Down combines his role of employee of The Mayflower Club with his role as employee of the telephone company. Every day, after finishing his shift as a cook, he changes into his telephone company uniform and searches the club for any information that might be helpful. One day he is able to get a list of members. He finds a member who appears to have not visited the club in a long time. Two Down asks a friend who works for the newspaper to find any information he can on the member, Binglsey Colchester. After much searching, Two Down cannot find any information, so he decides to impersonate the member. But to do so convincingly, he knows he will need better clothes and a better car. Two Down quits his job as a cook.
