Summary
The work begins with a medical dictionary definition of hyperbaric oxygenation, a process by which the body receives "oxygen at greater than normal atmospheric pressure" which is thought to aid the body in health and healing (3). The first chapter in this section, titled "The Incident" describes the explosion of the hyperbaric chamber that has been dubbed "The Miracle Submarine" by its owners, the Yoos.
