Summary
For the first time in their friendship, Nate and Abby go all weekend without speaking. Saturday's game against Salisbury was a muddy mess played in the rain. Despite the rain, Nate had a pretty good game with his team winning 6-0. Nate wants to call Abby when he gets home, but he doesn't. They are cordial but cool when sitting together on the bus Monday morning. At school, Abby sits in the first row in every class. In math class, she has a monitor on her desk to see the blackboard. Abby trips and falls while leaving math class, and Nate helps her up. For the first time, he sees panic on Abby's face.
