Summary

(untitled chapter) – Tommy comes home for a visit after Basic Training. He is far more mature and adult-like to Mimi, now. Each visit home is relished by the family, with Bud coming to call Tommy a man. Friends and neighbors, such as the Langers, are thrilled to stop by and see Tommy.
