Summary

Chapter 45

One night, Alan asks Kailamai if she could have anything she wants, what it would be. Kailamai describes a secure home and a chance to go to school. The next day, Alan introduces Kailamai to Angel/Nicole. Angel/Nicole and Kailamai hit it off almost immediately. After spending the day together, Alan asks Kailamai if she would like to go to Spokane to live with Angel/Nicole and attend school. Kailamai is happy about the idea and immediately agrees.

Chapter 46

Left on his own, Alan continues his journey toward Yellowstone. Alan travels for a week through small towns, mostly camping outside.
