Summary
Chapter 23
Alan calls his assistant Falene and apologizes for not keeping in better contact with her. Falene updates Alan on the progress of liquidating his assets and tells him she has some papers he needs to sign. Falene offers to drive down to see him before New Year’s Day.
Chapter 24
Angel/Nicole and Alan sit down to watch Citizen Cane, the first movie on her list, and they discuss the impact it had on William Randolph Hearst.
Chapter 25
Alan and his father go to the local IHOP and discuss their relationship. Alan is surprised by how supportive his father is of him, feeling that they never had that kind of relationship before.
Chapter 26
Back at Angel/Nicole’s apartment, Alan’s father gives him a gun that he insists he carry from now on.
