Point of View

Being a graphic novel, the point of view of Miles Morales: Shock Waves is third person. However it is a limited point of view as the story only follows Miles Morales. Though the story is told visually through the third person, the author does give a look into what Miles is thinking through the first person. As is standard in the comic medium, thought bubbles offer an insight into what the characters are thinking and feeling.

The use of limited third person allows for the reader to see everything that is happening. Paired together with Miles’s narration it completes the picture. The inner thoughts of Miles help add depth and personality to his character.
