Summary

Chapter One begins with Miles swinging through the streets, from rooftop to rooftop, as he narrates what it is like to be Spider-man. He explains that he has “been Spider-man for nearly a year” (4). His powers are still new to him and need some work. But he exclaims “It’s freaking awesome!” (4) He explains his relationship with the other Spider-man, Peter Parker, from Queens. They are friends and Peter acts as a mentor for Miles. Miles takes a selfie with a Spider-man billboard then looks through his social media, where he posts pictures of his family and friends including a picture with Peter Parker.
