Portland, Oregon

Portland, Oregon is the overall setting for most of the novel. There are several specific settings described as part of the story line. Mika visits the new home of her friend Charlie, the marijuana dispensary owned by her former boyfriend Leif, and the church Mika attends with her parents. Each of the places is described in reasonable detail. For example, Mika notes the many colors of the donut shop where she takes Thomas.
