Summary

In Chapter 27, Mika picks Penny up at the dorm on Wednesday and they begin to work on the dance – Bon-Orodi. The movements are passed down through generations. Mika asks if Penny can imagine “The ghosts of ages past at her elbow? Tracing her hands as she raised them to the sky?” (283). Thomas texts an image of one of Charlie's index cards. Mika says it is “next-level depravity” that he took the cards home with him. Mika smiles at one of Thomas's replies then feels guilty when she lies to Penny, saying she is talking to Hana. Thomas calls as Mika drops Penny off after another practice on Friday. They continue to use the cards as inspiration for learning about each other.
