Summary
In Chapter 16, Mika has a nightmare that leads her to remember being drugged at Peter's apartment. She woke while Peter was raping her but could not fight. She noted the time on the clock – her life forever divided into “before and after” that moment. She wakes in a panic then reminds herself she is safe. Mika realizes Thomas and Penny will soon be boarding a plane. She rushes to find her keys, noting that Hana has a guest – a pretty young woman named Josephine.
