Chapters 19 - 20 Summary

Chapter 19: Jessica prepares to enjoy a quiet dinner at home. It is spaghetti night. Every Wednesday since they moved to Bixby, Beth makes spaghetti for the family. Jessica just wants to relax after everything that happened the night before in the desert. Beth surprises Jessica by inviting a guest, Cassie Flinders.

Beth reveals that Cassie and she had become close friends after Cassie shared a picture she sketched of Jessica and Jonathan. Jessica is shocked by this information and wonders what else Cassie may remember or worse, what connections Beth has made. Beth asks if she can have sleepovers at Cassie's house in Jenks. Jessica bites her tongue to keep Beth from knowing this bothers her. Jessica does not share this information with the remaining midnighters.
