Section 7: Chapters 10 & 11 Summary
In Chapter 10, Turquoise dreams of Daryl beating her after she refused to call him Lord Daryl, and waking next to Shayla, she moves away. Jaguar wakes and asks if she is okay. When she admits to having bad memories, Jaguar startles her by standing and joining her, his mind offering sympathy as he stretches out on one side of Turquoise while Shayla lays on the other as if Turquoise is a frightened kitten that needs to be guarded.
In Chapter 11, Turquoise wakes to find Jaguar curled against her in human form, but her admiration of his beauty lasts only a moment since he has no heartbeat.
