Summary

In Chapter 7, a woman who says she is a private investigator comes to Manfred’s house to find out whether she can talk to him about Aubrey. When he surprises her by saying “no,” she leaves and goes to Fiji’s. Manfred watches as this woman attempts to talk to Fiji as Fiji leaves her apartment and tries to get in her car. Then, he sees Fiji put her hand on the women’s shoulder, causing the woman to freeze. Fiji gets in her car and drives away. It takes five minutes for the woman to come back to life. The woman then goes to the church, only to run out soon afterward. Fiji returns and goes in her house with Mr. Snuggly.
