Forever Summary
In this final chapter of the book, Phoebe writes that she hopes that what she said at the assembly will help someone else to use better judgment before they decide to try riding a bike with no safety helmet. Phoebe also reports that things are beginning to return to normal at home. Her mother has begun getting up and getting dressed on most mornings. She has even started going back to work.
Phoebe's guilt that she did not ride Mick's bike home for him the day of the accident continues to grow. One day after a soccer game, she finally talks to her father about what happened the day of the accident. Phoebe apologizes because she believes that it was her actions that allowed the accident to happen. If she had acted differently, Mick might be alive.
Phoebe's father begins to recite things...
