Summary

In “A Final Phone Call from San Francisco,” Danny’s mom calls and tells him she is moving back to San Diego because she feels useless and miserable in San Francisco. She has been chasing different men for four years, as if they would solve her problems, but she has finally realized she needs to focus on herself and her children. Danny asks her about his father, and why he left, but all she says is that he is a good man. When he gets off the phone, he asks Sofia what happened between his parents and she says she thinks his father hit his mother.
