Summary
In “Mexican WhiteBoy,” Danny went to practice pitching at Las Palmas Park, where his father had once played. Danny does not know if his dad was any good, but he knows he was a pitcher. Danny tries to figure out why he performed so badly at tryouts the previous year that he was not even placed on his private school's team, which is nationally ranked and features star player Kyle Sorenson, who intimidates Danny. At dinner, Sofia tells Danny she heard Liberty likes him. Uncle Ray tells Danny that his father loves him, and his letters mean the world to him.
