Summary
Brooklyn Line Terminus Cosmos is the second novel covering the adventures of Valerian and Laureline as they try to solve the mystery of strange, futuristic creatures on Earth in 1980. The first page of the novel offers a brief history of what has happened up to this point. Laureline is still on the planet Zomuk, hoping to find out more about the aliens who stole the items representing the four elements: earth, fire, wind, and water. Meanwhile, Valerian is on Earth in 1980 as he tries to solve the mystery from that point in time. A Frenchman named Albert is helping Valerian. Valerian is troubled by headaches that are either caused or worsened by his telepathic communication connection with Laureline. He is feeling dejected when an apparently random woman invites him to spend the evening with her.
