Chapter 10 Summary

In chapter ten, Garrett calls Theresa first thing in the morning and confesses that he already misses her. At the office, Theresa finds a bouquet of roses on her desk with an affectionate card from Garrett. Deanna takes her to lunch and demands to know all the details, which Theresa gladly provides. In Wilmington, Jeb comes to visit Garrett at his shop and demands to know about Theresa. Jeb warns Garrett to give the relationship a chance and not to run away too soon. That night, Garrett tries to write a letter to Catherine, but finds he cannot. Over the next few weeks, Theresa and Garrett spend long hours on the phone together. When Kevin returns home from California, Theresa tells him about Garrett and that they are going to see him the following weekend. When they arrive, Kevin is a little nervous...
