Part Two, Chapter 11 Summary
Audra Campbell takes Jamie's case to the grand jury. Jamie knows the grand jury will return an indictment and is convinced he will go to jail. Angus tries to soothe his fears by telling him about his wife and assuring him that the only thing that matters is that she died how she wanted to die. Across town, Audra interviews the coroner, who almost ruins her case when he attempts to soften the evidence in Jamie's favor. The coroner nearly forgets to tell the jury about the skin under Maggie's nails and focuses a great deal of his testimony on her cancer scars. Audra puts several deputies and Cam on the stand as well. Each testifies to exactly what happened the day Jamie confessed to murdering his wife. At the end of the testimony, the jury returns an indictment...
