Part One, Chapter 8 Summary
At Jamie's preliminary hearing, Graham announces his intention to use temporary insanity as his defense. Jamie is mildly impressed with Graham's behavior at the hearing and begins to build some trust in his lawyer. At the same time, Jamie meets the prosecutor and dislikes her on sight because of her overbearing manner and her name. The prosecutor's name is Campbell and Campbells have always been enemies of the McDonald clan.
Mia is in Allie's flower shop fantasizing about Cam when Ellen walks in unannounced. Mia is embarrassed and afraid of being caught, especially when Cam shows up with lunch for two.
