Part One, Chapter 7 Summary

Cam receives Mia's note at the office. Cam prays that God will intercede and give him a sign that he should not respond. When God does not answer, Cam sends a response to Mia's note, asking for a meeting. At home, Allie is making a fancy meal for Cam and Mia to thank them in advance for picking up her responsibilities while she is out of town. Cam is immediately uncomfortable having Mia in his house with Allie there. However, this does not stop Cam from helping Mia with the dishes, taking advantage of Allie being out of the room to finalize their plans to meet.

Across town, Jamie is remembering the night before Maggie got sick when he took measurements of her to make her an image in one of his virtual reality programs. Jamie owns a company...
