Summary

In Chapter 22, Ms. Tannenbaum tells the students to pair off and instructs them to “find someone you haven't worked with in class before” (236). Michael pairs off with Merci. Edna is paired up with Lena. Remembering the snap Edna sent her, Merci wishes Michael had paired up with someone else. Michael and Merci finish their work quickly and play a game while they wait for the others. Michael says he needs a good grade on the deity presentation for his parents to take him to the Disney theme park. Merci says Roli ruined any chance of good grades carrying perks at her house.
