Summary
In the aftermath of his conversation with Michael, Knut starts to again take pleasure in his performances, challenging himself to find ways to make his audiences enjoy themselves. As his crowds start regaining their former size, he is regularly visited by Michael, who appears to him on the computer screen in his den. Michael tells him that plans are being made for Knut to meet Tosca, Lars (Knut’s father) and, if those meetings go well, a young female polar bear. Michael also reveals that he was once a child performer who loved being in front of audiences, but who was also believed to be exploited by adults.
