Chapter 6 Summary

The news that Felix is back at the Mirador changes Mavortian's plans. To Mildmay, he sees no reason to keep working with Mavortian now that Felix is in the Mirador. But, Mavortian convinces Mildmay to stay.

Felix is back with Shannon and trying to make a life for himself. He attends a play and accompanies Shannon back to his apartments after. Shannon tries to kiss Felix, but Felix can't bear to be touched. He tries to have sex with Shannon, but runs out terrified. Shannon is furious. Shannon doesn't understand what Felix has been through. Shannon grew up with a sheltered life in high society. Felix is ashamed to share his history with Shannon, though he loves him deeply.

Returning to Thaddeus's apartment, Felix tries to hide his emotions from Thaddeus and Vida. They pry him for information. In his disabled state, Felix...
