Chapters 7 and 8: Camilla Summary
Spring arrives suddenly. Louisa spends the night at Patrick's, but he is too tired to have much interest in her physically, and she is still awake hours later, frustrated. Mrs. Traynor hires cleaners to spring clean the annex and tells Will that he and Lou can take tea outside in the garden. Before they go back inside, she convinces him to allow her to shave him and give his hair a trim. The proximity to him is incredibly intimate, and she enjoys touching him, but when she realizes it, she begins to feel awkward. Then he watches a movie while she trims his hair.
