Chapter 12 Summary
Initially, Pitt and Giordino are antagonistic toward Inspector Zacynthus, and because of the damage they have caused to his man, Darius, he instructs the surprised Zeno to handcuff Giordino's right wrist to Pitt's left ankle, so they make no further attempt to escape. Pitt is relieved that it is Giordino and not he, who must crouch over to walk. Pitt is still very sore from his escapades of the previous night. Pitt's intuition tells him that they are not really talking to the Greek police authorities, and when Zacynthus repeats his request for their names, Pitt finally gives his real name, which Zacynthus at first disbelieves, but once Pitt recites song and verse of his father's appearance, position and history Zacynthus finally believes him.
