Chapter 10 Summary
Pitt and Giordino join a guided tour of the great amphitheater in order to reach the exit of the labyrinth from which Pitt escaped just hours earlier. They need to return to the villa in order to find any information that might give them a clue as to von Till's intense desire to frighten the First Attempt away from the waters off Thasos. Because it is daylight, reaching the exit unnoticed requires subterfuge. Pitt wishes to catch von Till off guard by returning to the villa as quickly as he possibly can. Once they reach the rusted web of iron bars, Giordino sets off a very quiet explosive so they can gain entrance without the discomfort that Pitt had endured earlier.
