Chapter 5 Summary
Pitt is picked up at the gate of the air base by Willie, von Till's chauffeur, in a vintage car, the elite of German automakers—the 1936 Maybach-Zepplin town car. He takes an instant dislike to Willie after noticing that the spare tire on the car has the same diamond shaped markings he had seen on the beach. He has found the watcher from this morning. After they arrive at the villa, Pitt promptly gives Willie the advice that he should not wear silver-rimmed glasses that reflect the sun when he is working on his Peeping Tom merit badge, then breaks Willie's nose.
