Texas
Texas is the overarching setting of the novel. The state does not really function as a character in the novel because it is not really referenced outside of allusions to the heat. There are culturally Texan events, such as the rodeo that the characters experience, however.

Sydney and Tori's apartment is the initial setting of the novel and catalyst for the main conflict. This is where Sydney discovers Tori and Hunter's infidelity and runs away from her apartment to move in with Ridge.
