Chapter Twenty Summary

Chapter Twenty begins with Heath in rush hour traffic with nothing to do but think. It has been six weeks, and Heath is hoping that he can change Delaney's mind about his house. He wouldn't have cared that Delaney would like a different style until Heath had heard Annabelle's discussion of what she would do with his big house. Delaney wanted everything to be tasteful and calm. When he thought about the future, he couldn't block out his questions about whether Dean Robillards had taken Annabelle to bed. He couldn't block out Annabelle and the difference between her and Delaney. He kept telling himself that he was perfectly matched with Delaney. She was exactly what he had wanted.
